Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

1. About Kenya FP+ App
This app guides a health provider on how to use the balanced counseling strategy plus (BCS+) algorithm, counselling cards and brochures for clients seeking family planning and other reproductive health information and services in health facilities.

2. Privacy Policy
The Kenya FP+ Appis provided by the Ministry of Health at no cost and is intended for use as is. The App will not collect any personal information or data at individual client level, health provider level, health facility level, sub-county and county level or even national level. Information in the Kenya FP+ App is to facilitate effective interaction between a health care provider and client with a view to addressing their family planning and reproductive health needs and choices.

3. Terms of Use
By accessing the App, you are agreeing to abide by the Kenya’s Ministry of Health policies, guidelines, standards and operating procedures for counseling and providing quality family planning and other reproductive health services, as well as the relevant training and service provision manuals.

Log Data
Whenever you use the Kenya FP+ App and there is an error, data and information may be collected (through third-parties) on your phone referred to as the Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name (phone or tablet), operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our service, including the time and date of your use, and other statistics.

Cookies
The Kenya FP+ App does not use “cookies” explicitly. However, the App may use third-party codes and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve performance. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies, and the right to know when a cookie is being sent to your device.

The Kenya FP+ App may contain links to other websites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that some of these external sites may not be operated by the Ministry of Health. Therefore, you are advised to review the Privacy Policy of these external websites since the Ministry does not have control over such and will not assume any responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Changes to Privacy Policy and Terms of Use
The Ministry of Health may update the Kenya FP+ App’s privacy policy and “terms of use”from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. You will be notified of any changes and updates by posting the new Privacy Policy and Terms of Use on this page.

This policy is effective from1st of November, 2024.
